The video showcases the animal standing and waving in a manner reminiscent of a human. However, the zoo promptly refuted these claims in an official statement delivered from the perspective of the bear itself.

"Some individuals seem to find the way I stand upright rather human-like... I want to emphasize once more: I am, indeed, a sun bear," the statement clarified.

The images attracted significant attention due to the sun bears' compact limbs and fur ruffles, which contribute to an appearance resembling people donning bear costumes.
